Wyland
We considered ourselves very fortunate to have Wyland as a guest on our first show. Although our arrangements to meet were rather rocky, he stuck with us and throughout it all he was insightfull, loquacious, and very helpfull. We are proud to share similar passions with this leader in the ocean conservation arena.
Most known for his life-size murals on walls around the globe, Wyland's 86 walls are seen by an estimated one billion people annually. Trying to inspire others to care about marine life Wyland has developed a reputation as a visionary and humanitarian.
Wyland's dedication to raising awareness about the beauty and importance of the marine environment let the United Nations to proclaim him the official artist for the 1998 International Year of the Ocean. That same year the non-profit Wyland Foundation rolled out the Wyland Ocean Challenge of America, an ambitious ocean curricuilum intended to reach 67 million students at more than 120,000 public an dprivate schools across the nation.
To see a few examples of his spectacular work which he has graciously allowed us to present, you invite you to view our gallery of his work.
